by suman on June 20, 2010

uTorrent was released before five years in 2005 September 18 for the windows platform which was available in 52 languages. But now the developers team uTorrent has announced that they have been working for the Linux version too. There were  the numbers of users of uTorrent in Microsoft  Windows Mac OS X 10.5 (Intel and PPC) and now the demands from the users has increased for the Operating System Linux too and have been cited the main reasons why the Linux users are going to have the native uTorrent application?

After the public release of the uTorrent in 2005 BitTorrent application was widely used where every month there are more than 50 millions of people who are using the uTorrent and which is also continue to growing up on the side of BitTorrent too. After the development of the uTorrent for the Mac than those who are using the Linux are asking for them too with the developers. When this uTorrent was sold to the BitTorrent Inc in 2006 the company has been announcing that the Mac version is coming too. Than after the announcement of two years it finally released to the public. This was only released for the Mac version but not for the Linux users, they were not about to use this in Linux. But this must have to change, now see, the developers of uTorrent have announced that they are working for Linux version of client too. The developers of uTorrent has not announced the date of release but has said it is coming soon.

Recently the Idea Bank has introduced the backed ideas of Linux version on the uTorrent and has allowing the users to submit theirs votes for the ideas which they want to implemented. And the ideas of Linux version were supported by many people more than 3260 people. So due to these huge demands of the users is the main reason why Linux should be now in the progress.

The spokesman of  BitTorrent Inc Jenna Broughton said that since the lunching our Idea Bank on the uTorrent.com there has been significants demands for the native clients for the Linux and he also said that we are doing our best to deliver when we see the  good fit between the goals and the capabilities and according to the users wants.

The Broughton also said that they are committing for bringing the lightweight uTorrent clients which will embrace the use ability & the features of Mac clients and the Windows to the Linux users. The releasing date of this is in secret and the exact features set of Linux will also remain secret and in common with the other versions of the uTorrent this will not be the open source.

We are hopping that we will able to download the uTorrent for  the Linux in the coming days and also hope that it will be much more best than we are thinking and be able to get the releasing date soon so that we can rock with the uTorrent in the Linux too.
